Nagpur: It’s payday finally for schools which allowed free admissions under the 25% quota of Right To Education (RTE) Act. After a patient wait of almost three years schools across the state will be reimbursed their fees.
TOI had reported that before March 31 a cheque of Rs26 crore will be released for schools across the state. The state has cleared payment of the exact amount for the academic session 2012-13 and 2013-14.
The average annual fee per student will be roughly around Rs13,000 and for second and third-tier private schools this is a windfall. Even if one considers a minimum of 30 students being given admission, the school can expect their bank balance to increase by almost Rs8 lakh.
