Eligibility criteria for students and families:
Weaker section:
- Parents whose annual income is less than one lakh rupees from all sources
- Who have been staying in Delhi for the last three years
Disadvantaged group:
- Scheduled castes (S.C.)
- Schedule tribes (S.T.)
- Other Backward classes (O.B.C.) not falling in the creamy layer,
- Child with special needs and suffering from disability as defined in the PwD Act,1996

In addition, any one of the following documents is necessary as proof in each category:
I. Date of Birth
I. Date of Birth
- Birth certificate under the Births, Deaths and Marriage Certification Act, 1986
- Hospital Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) register record
- Anganwadi Record
- Declaration of the age of the child by the parent or guardian
II. Present Residential Address
- Ration card Issued in the name of parents (mother/father having name of the child)
- Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents
- Voter I-card of any of the parents
- Electricity bill/ mtnl telephone bill / water bill.
- Unique Identity Card of mother/ father/child issued by Government of India
- Passport in the name of any of the parents or child
III. Proof of Income (only for Economically Weaker Section)
- Income certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of tehsildar
- BPL Ration card (Yellow Coloured)
- AAY Ration card (Pink Coloured)
IV. Proof of Disadvantaged Group (only for Disadvantaged Group)
- Certificate Issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or any other competent authority
- Caste Certificate issued by DC Office
- Medical Certificate from Govt. Hospital, In case of children what special needs/disabilities
- A certificate issued in accordance with instruction issued by the department of Woman and Child Development, GNCT of Delhi, vide order dated 11.12.12 in case of orphan child
