Bengaluru: With over three lakh applicants seeking seats in premier schools under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act (Right to Education) in 2015, the State government plans to give preference only to children of BPL families next year. Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education Kimmane Ratnakar said steps would be taken to ensure seats to children of eligible families under the RTE.
